What is the meaning of Vastu Shastra?

The science of energy, which deals with the construction of houses, palaces, temples and towns is called Vastu Shastra. It reads the characteristics of houses/plots and explains their effect upon those who dwell within.

Vaastu is a techique and a knowledge system that harmonises human nature and existence with architectural form. It seeks peace, happiness, prosperity and health for those living within structures by taking into account:

For the first time Guernsey will host Vastu Shastra consultant, Deepak Paretha. During his stay Deepak will give public lectures and individual consultations.

The principles of Vastu Shastra are compatible with scientific and systematic form. They can be applied successfully with modern techniques of design, construction and restructioning.

for the last 8 years.

Recently Deepak was awarded 2nd prize in the Transport for

London ‘Station of the Future’ design competition, using Vastu

principles.

Deepak Paretha, is an Architect from India, having studied the subject for 5 years at IIT Kharagpur. He achieved an advanced Honours degree in Architecture and Planning, which included designing properties in Bangalore.

In London, twelve years on, Deepak now combines his technical expertise with a deeper knowledge of the Vedic Sciences and using Vastu Shastra in conjunction with Vedic Astrology and essential Ayurvedic principles to bring a unique holistic perspective on how to improve the health of your house and all who reside in it..

Deepak is a strong believer in the benefits of yoga, meditation and pranayams, and has been practising for the last eight years. He can advise on the use of these techniques as part of the service he provides.
